ReplyRadar Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

This policy explains how the Reply Radar iOS App (version 1.0) processes your data.

1. DATA WE COLLECT

Reply Radar does not operate its own server. The App does not send the messages and screenshots you share to us or to third-party servers for analysis, and we as the developer do not have direct access to data on your device. The App extracts information requiring follow-up from messages and screenshots you share or paste and stores that information on your device.

Analysis uses Apple’s on-device system components (text recognition from images and an on-device language model) together with the App’s own rules. The App does not make requests to our server or a third party for this purpose. Apple is responsible for the internal operation of these system components.

Temporary raw content. A screenshot or text sent through the share extension is kept as temporary files, until it is processed, in an on-device area shared by the App and its share extension. In the normal flow, these files are deleted when the confirmation screen closes. Content that cannot be processed because of a quota or subscription screen may remain in this area until it can be processed. If the App closes during processing or a sharing operation is interrupted, for example, temporary files may remain on your device. We do not guarantee that these files will be deleted the next time the App is opened. The App does not send these files anywhere.

Saved cards. A saved follow-up card does not retain a separate copy of the entire original message or image. Only the extracted fields are stored: person, sender, subject, expected action, summary note, date, and a technical delivery identifier. These fields may contain excerpts of the original message. The “person” field may contain the name of a person mentioned in the message (for example, a doctor or provider in an appointment message). The “sender” field usually corresponds to the sender heading in the message (an organization name, person’s name, or number). Depending on the message, these fields may therefore contain personal information. Cards stay on your device until you delete them.

Usage counter. A counter is stored on your device to track your free usage allowance.

Technical logs. The App does not send telemetry or crash reports to our own server. It writes technical logs to your device’s system log. In version 1.0, some error log entries may contain an unobfuscated key derived from the sender heading, and those entries may appear unmasked in system logs. These entries may be retained in your device’s system logs. If you generate and share a device diagnostic report, or enable sharing of diagnostic data with app developers in iOS settings, the extent to which these logs and other diagnostic data are transferred depends on iOS and your choices; this is outside our control.

2. DATA SHARING

The App does not transfer your data to third parties for analysis, advertising, or tracking. The App contains no third-party software libraries, advertisements, analytics, or tracking components. The App has not configured iCloud/CloudKit synchronization.

This statement does not cover the following three situations, which are explained separately:

  • Communication with Apple for subscription transactions (section 3).
  • Calendar events and notifications you initiate, and their synchronization or mirroring by the system (section 5).
  • Device or iCloud backups (section 7).

The copy of this policy published on WordPress.com is hosted by WordPress.com, which may display its own cookies or advertisements on that website. This relates only to the WordPress website and is separate from the behavior of the iOS App.

3. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENT INFORMATION

The App communicates with the Apple App Store to list subscription products, make and restore purchases, and determine your subscription status. This communication uses Apple’s StoreKit infrastructure and may also occur when the App opens. It does not include the contents of your messages or screenshots. Your payment information does not reach us. Apple processes payments and its own privacy policy applies. Your subscription status is not stored persistently by the App; it is read from Apple.

The App includes links to this policy page and Apple’s standard license agreement. They open in a browser only when you tap them.

4. PERSONALIZATION (LEARNING)

When you correct a sender name or type, the following are stored on your device to improve later analyses: a key derived from the sender heading, the display name you entered, and correction information. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us by the App. You can delete learned senders individually or clear them all in Settings. Correction records cannot be deleted individually; they are deleted only using “Delete All Data.”

5. CLIPBOARD, CALENDAR, AND NOTIFICATIONS

Clipboard. Clipboard contents are read only when you tap the “Paste from Clipboard” button.

Calendar. If you choose Calendar under “Remind” for a card and grant permission, the App creates an event in your system calendar. The title contains the person’s name, and the notes contain the subject and expected action. If your selected calendar is connected to an account such as iCloud, Google, or Exchange, iOS may synchronize this event with that account. This synchronization depends on your calendar account; the App does not perform the synchronization itself.

Notifications. Reminder notifications are created locally on your device, separately from calendar synchronization. A notification may display a person’s name, subject, and expected action. If you have paired devices (such as an Apple Watch), iOS may also display the notification on them.

6. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Reply Radar is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

Your data resides on your device. Because the App does not transmit it to us, we do not hold a copy on our servers, and as the developer we do not have direct access to the data on your device. We therefore cannot provide you with a copy of your data. You can control your data as follows:

Deleting data in the App. You can delete cards individually. The “Delete All Data” option in Settings deletes saved cards, learned senders, correction records, the usage counter, and pending notifications. Events added by the App to Calendar are deleted only if you have granted full Calendar access permission. This operation may not cover temporary files in the shared area (section 1), and we do not guarantee removal of other possible remnants.

Uninstalling the App. When you delete the App from your device, iOS removes the App’s on-device data area. Calendar events you added are outside that data area and are therefore not covered. Depending on your backup settings, device or iCloud backups may contain your App data and may persist after you delete the App. You can manage backups using your own backup settings.

Information you send to us. If you voluntarily send us information or screenshots, for example to receive support, we receive them because you chose to send them. The App does not make this disclosure on your behalf.
